Metaverse Services Ltd. is a Hong Kong based online games operator specialising in monetized social games and virtual worlds. The company was founded in 2006 and was named a "new champion of the world economy" by the World Economic Forum in 2008. Ever since its inception it has featured two digit growth rates and MSL currently employs about 100 staff in Hong Kong, Wuhan and word-wide to serve a highly international customer base.
Responsibilities:
This is an entry level position. You will be responsible to compose 3D scenes in Second Life. This will require:
- Composing highly usable, appealing and resource optimised virtual world landscapes and scenes using 3D assets from our library.
- Retexturing existing 3D assets.
- Modifying existing assets with 3D tools.
- Specifying, requesting and testing new 3D assets from our asset design team.
- Properly packaging, testing and debugging new scenes for our scene distribution tools.
- Working closely with our game admins and player community on improving existing scenes and designing new scenes.
The individual(s) we are looking for must not only have a vivid interest in interactive 3D environents and possess design skills, but also has to be an extremly well organised and quality focused person. We are not looking for amateurs but for professionals.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master's Degree, Engineering (Civil), Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology, Art/Design/Creative Multimedia, Architecture or equivalent.
- Required language(s): English
- At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field (3D design or level design) is required for this position.
- Applicants must be willing to work in home based.
- Specializing in Arts/Creative/Graphics Design or equivalent.
- Scripting/programming experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Full-time contractor position available.
